Rissler brings essential experience to power the next chapter of Suntiva’s growth
Suntiva, a trusted advisor to leaders in achieving business transformation, announces the appointment of Gail Rissler to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer (COO).
As COO, Rissler will be responsible for driving business growth and directing day-to-day operations. She will oversee Suntiva’s Health, Defense, Federal Civilian, and Intelligence Community business units as well as new business expansion, strategy execution and development of services and solutions.
“Suntiva has achieved a scale and level of organizational maturity that warrants the position of COO,” said Hany Malik, Suntiva President and CEO. “In selecting a COO, we sought an executive with proven experience in achieving growth at a company our size. We also needed someone who understands and believes in the Suntiva culture. Gail defines these two requirements. She brings the approach and skills we need to aggressively pursue Suntiva’s business strategy.”
Rissler joined Suntiva nearly one year ago as Senior Vice President after serving as a consultant to the company. In her previous roles at Suntiva, Rissler led multiple business units and optimized operations. She was also instrumental in developing the five-year business strategy that has helped the company build a strong infrastructure and drive growth to current revenues exceeding $20M.
“Gail has already proven she’s the perfect person for the job,” Malik said. “I’m delighted and excited to partner with her in crafting the next chapter of the Suntiva story.”
Rissler brings over 30 years of business expertise in government IT and professional services to the COO position. She is an internationally certified, strategic planner with extensive experience in quality customer delivery; business development and growth; mergers and acquisitions; market positioning; leadership development; and operational effectiveness.
Prior to joining Suntiva, Gail served as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for McDonald Bradley, Inc. purchased by ManTech International Corporation as well as the owner of Rissler Consulting, LLC. She holds a B.S.P.A. in Public Financial Management and Management Administration and a M.P.A. in Public Financial Management from Indiana University. Rissler has served on various industry and community boards including Women in Technology (WIT), The Women’s Center, National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) and the Fairfax County Adult and Community Education Training and Scholarship Foundation.
